News: We're Hiring

We want YOU to work in the School of American Studies at the University of East Anglia. We're currently looking for a Lecturer in American Studies (History and Culture). Full details of the post are available here, but the highlights are available below.

Lecturer in American Studies
(History and Culture)
Ref: ATR989

£37,990 to £44,016 per annum

We seek a Lecturer in American History and Culture. Our school is committed to interdisciplinary research and teaching, so a readiness to work with colleagues in a variety of disciplines is essential. The ability to place U.S. history in a hemispheric or trans-Pacific context may be an advantage. Possible specialisms include: comparative and transnational history; business history; migration; the slave trade; and U.S. imperialism. Candidates with research interests related to the Caribbean, Latin America or the Asia-Pacific region are encouraged to apply, but quality of research - not topic - will be the decisive factor.

This full-time, indefinite post is available from 1 January 2012.

Closing date: 12 noon on 31 August 2011.
